Rental units are to be collected from and returned to the premises of Buffalo Campers.
Monday to Friday :- 08h00 - 16h00
Saturday :- 08h00 - 11h00
Sunday :- By appointment
Rental charges are calculated from day of pick-up being day 1 of rental and day of return of vehicle being final day of rental period, regardless of time of day.

DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT

A deposit is required to secure a reservation. This is refundable subject to deductions for lost or damaged equipment or other items not covered by insurance.
Payment IN FULL for the rental period is required on collection of the motor home or, if vehicle being collected from an agreed other location , FULL payment required at least 2 weeks before commencement of rental period.
Master and Visa credit cards accepted.

CANCELLATION FEES

Over 30 days before pick-up date - 100% of deposit
8 - 30 days before pick-up date - 50% of total rental
Within 7 days or no show - 100% of total rental.
INSURANCE:

    Motor homes     4x4's
Included in the rates :     Full comprehensive insurance     Full comprehensive & CDW insurance
Excess amount that is responsibility of hirer for any claim or repairs :     R 8 000.     R 8 000.
  The above insurance does NOT cover:
  1. any loose equipment supplied with the vehicle
  2. damage to the interior of the vehicle other than by means of a collision
  3. tyre damage or punctures
  4. water or undercarriage damage

  Non-waiverable excess of R 12 000 applies for theft or recovery of vehicle.
 

GENERAL:

1. Hirers must be between 23 + 75 years of age and have a drivers license valid in South Africa. Only the persons who have signed the agreement may drive the vehicle. The hirer is liable for any cost incurred as a result of any person driving the vehicle in breach of this clause.
2. Hirers are liable for the full period of their reservations, notwithstanding the vehicle being rendered unusable as a result of an accident or mechanical breakdown.
3. In the event of a breakdown the rental company will not be responsible for any alternative accommodation charges.
4. Should the vehicle become unusable due to mechanical failure, an accident , theft, or for any reason whatsoever, the rental company will not be liable for any cost incurred by the hirer.
5. Should the vehicle be involved in an accident which renders it unusable, a replacement will be issued only at the discretion of the rental company and the replacement vehicle would have to be collected from Buffalo Campers premises. Accidents, damage or theft must be reported to the police and the rental company within 24 hours.
6. The hirer is responsible for the maintenance of the vehicle during the rental period and must check water, battery and oil levels and tyre pressure. If repairs to the vehicle are necessary, consent to do so must first be obtained from the rental company, and the rental company will re-imburse the hirer on receipt of proper documentation.
7. All equipment in the vehicle is checked before handing over and the rental company does not accept any responsibility for any malfunctioning during the rental period.
8. Vehicles may be taken into neighboring states, but are NOT insured or allowed into Angola and Malawi. Vehicles driven to Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana and the Kalahari Gemsbok Park are subject to a surcharge. Hirers must use main tarred/concrete roads only (motor homes) while in neighboring states, due to the poor condition of other roads.
9. The hirer is liable for all traffic offences incurred during the rental period.
10. The vehicle shall be returned to the rental company, together with all its accessories, equipment and documents, all in the same condition as received, fair wear and tear excepted, at the same location as where collected, unless another location has been pre-arranged.
11. No charge is made for cleaning, but the vehicle should be returned internally clean (including the toilet). A charge of R300 will be levied if the vehicle is dirty inside.
